Advances in Dental Technology

At Dr. Nick's White & Healthy Dentistry, we use the latest technology and techniques to ensure that our patients feel comfortable during an appointment. Our dentists are highly skilled, experienced, and compassionate and know how to work with patients of all ages.

As technology improves, we continually look for opportunities to upgrade our equipment.

Dr. Nick's state-of-the-art dental office features a number of innovative dental technologies that can improve your oral health. They include the following:

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays are faster, safer, and more convenient than traditional x-rays. Because digital x-rays don't require developing film, Dr. Nick can see your results immediately on a computer monitor. Digital x-rays are also safer than traditional x-rays because they emit less radiation.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras allow Dr. Nick to get a closer look at your teeth and gums. These cameras help Dr. Nick see small areas of decay, cracks, and other problems.

Same-Day Crowns

A dental crown is a cap that is designed to cover the entire tooth, protecting it from further damage, restoring the tooth's shape, and enhancing the aesthetics of your smile. A dental crown may also be used to cover a dental implant.

In the past, dental patients had to wait for a dental lab to create a dental crown. This could take up to two weeks, and the patient would have to wear a temporary dental crown until the permanent one was ready.

Now, with digital dentistry, we are able to create dental crowns in-house with CERECĀ® technology. This means that you can have your dental crown placed the same day as your dental restoration treatment.

Laser Dentistry

These days, laser dentistry isn't just for cosmetic procedures. Lasers are now commonly used to:

Lasers allow for precise, accurate treatment, and they are less invasive. Laser dentistry reduces bleeding and swelling, and it can reduce the need for anesthesia. Lasers can be used as an alternative treatment to traditional procedures like dental fillings and gum surgery.

Dental CT Scans

At our practice, we use cutting-edge dental technologies to provide the best possible care. One of the technologies we use is dental (CT) scans, which allow us to visualize your teeth and jawbone.

During a dental CT scan, you sit in a machine that rotates around your head. The machine will capture multiple X-rays of your teeth and jawbone. An additional scan may be required if your dentist needs to obtain an image of your sinuses. Dental CT scans are a fast and painless way to obtain images. The images can then be enhanced and examined using computer software.

At Dr. Nick's dental office, we are proud to offer advanced dental technologies that allow us to provide personalized, comprehensive dental care.
